Here is another look at the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Ring, this time without the pixelization filter. These images were posted by Ice Universe on Weibo and show the new flagship smartwatch in two colorways and the charging case for the ring.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra is shown in dark gray and in silver, both with an orange color accent on the digital crown. This is a new development – Galaxy Watches don’t have crowns, they use a rotating bezel for navigation (either a physical or a virtual bezel). Note that while we’re calling this a “crown”, it might just be another button.

Anyway, you already know about the rectangular design that has been paired with a round watch face. It’s an unusual setup, but Samsung must have had a reason for designing it this way. It will certainly help keep the UI and watch faces developed for previous models compatible.

Moving on to the Samsung Galaxy Ring, the image shows it in its charging case. It looks similar to the cases for the Galaxy Buds, except there is a pillar on the bottom half to hold the ring and a circle on the top half to help center the ring.

You can see a charging light on both the case and the ring itself. If the case is indeed similar to the ones used by the buds, it should offer both USB-C and wireless charging.

The Galaxy Ring was officially announced at MWC in February (here are our first impressions), but a lot of details were kept under wraps. Samsung did confirm that the ring will have 5 to 9 days battery life, depending on the ring size. From FCC docs, it looks like it will range from 17mAh (ring sizes 5, 6, 7), through 18.5mAh (sizes 8, 9, 10, 11) and 22.5mAh (size 12). For specs on the Watch Ultra, check out this post.

Both the watch and the ring (and more – don’t forget the Z foldables) will launch next month.

New render images of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra have surfaced! More details about the Galaxy Watch Ultra are comin up each day. Previously, render images of Samsung’s upcoming watch had already been released, and now there’s a new addition to these.

Galaxy Watch Ultra will be introduced with a modern and different design compared to previously released Galaxy Watches. Samsung has managed to give the watch a squarish look while maintaining the beloved circular design language of the Galaxy Watch series. The newly emerged render images show the watch in silver and black colors. A new side of the Watch Ultra, compared to previously released Galaxy Watches, is the addition of a third button on the side of the watch. It’s colored in orange, just like on Apple Watch Ultras.

Galaxy Watch Ultra shares the same screen size as the previously released Galaxy Watch6 Classic. While the screen size isn’t larger, there is a significant difference in size between the two watches. The Watch Ultra is much thicker. The dimensions of the Galaxy Watch6 Classic are 46.5 x 46.5 x 10.9 mm, whereas the Watch Ultra measures 47 x 47.4 x 16.4 mm. Additionally, Galaxy Watch Ultra will feature a titanium case.

Samsung is introducing a high-end smartwatch to the Galaxy Watch lineup this year with a new “Ultra” device, and new leaks have revealed more images of the hardware, as well as a sky-high price tag.

A leaker on Twitter, “Tim Tom 0,” shared what appear to be official images of the “Galaxy Watch Ultra.” The design of the watch is somewhat square, but with a round display, as was leaked earlier this month. There’s also an orange button along the center of the right side which may or may not rotate – in these images, it certainly looks more like a normal button than a rotating crown.

The images show the watch in dark black/gray and white/silver color options, both appearing to use titanium as their chassis material. Both smartwatches are shown with what seems to be an active sport band.

Meanwhile, 91Mobiles has some more details on the Galaxy Watch Ultra’s price point.

According to this report, Samsung will charge “between” $699 and $710 for the Galaxy Watch Ultra.

That’s a very high price tag for Samsung. The company’s previous most-expensive smartwatch was 2022’s Galaxy Watch 5 Pro which retailed for a starting price of $449. At $699, Samsung’s “Ultra” would also be just $100 cheaper than the Apple Watch Ultra.

Beyond that, the rest of the Galaxy Watch 7 lineup apparently won’t be changing all that much. The base model would still start at $299, the same price as the Watch 6 series and $100 more than the just-announced Galaxy Watch FE. According to the report, Samsung will offer “Marbal Gray” (presumably “marble gray”), “Cream White,” and “Forest Green” color options, where the Ultra would only be available in the two colors mentioned above.

As Samsung’s annual event approaches, the company is expected to introduce several devices. The Unpacked event is set to unpack its much awaited Galaxy foldables on July 10. But that is not it, Samsung is ready to launch Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and Galaxy Buds 3. As the company prepares for the launch, the prices of Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra prices have been leaked recently.

In a report by 91mobiles, the leak declares that US prices of both Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch 7 Ultra, and the colour variants of the same. Let’s see what the leak entails and what does it mean to India.

As per the leak, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 is expected to cost between USD 299 and USD 310. Noteably, the predecessor of the device was also priced the same; US 299. As per the Indian prices are concerned, the original price of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 was at Rs 33,999. Hence, we can speculate that the price of Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 in India could be similar.

The Galaxy Watch 7 could be available in Marble Grey, Cream white, and Forest Green. For context, the predecessor came in Gold and Graphite options for the 40mm model.

While there is no official information yet, the Galaxy Watch 7 is rumoured to look like a Galaxy Watch 6 Classic successor with a rotating bezel. The rotating bezels have been much spoken about and is the favourite part of many users, hence we think Samsung will keep it rotating until something as interesting as this comes up.

A new Samsung wearable with the model number SM-L305U was recently spotted on the Bluetooth SIG database. When analysed alongside earlier leaks, it appears that this device could be the LTE-enabled 40mm version of the upcoming Galaxy Watch 7. The Bluetooth certification confirms the Galaxy Watch 7 will retain the same Bluetooth 5.3 with LE technology as the Galaxy Watch 6, but the exciting upgrades likely lie beyond connectivity.

Samsung Watch 7 Ultra: What to expect
The Galaxy Watch Ultra will be the first Ultra-branded smartwatch from the company, which might compete with the Apple Watch Ultra features. The report states that the device will be around the price range of US 699 to USD 799. Compared with the competition, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 was originally priced in India at Rs 89,900. We expect the price of the upcoming Watch 7 Ultra will be lower than this price.

If the rumour of a Galaxy Watch 7 price range is true, the Ultra variant will be on the premium side of the segment. If the Galaxy Watch 7 costs Rs 34,000, the Ultra model could be around the price range of Rs 40,000.

According to previous reports and rumours, the Galaxy Watch Ultra will have a design featuring a rounded square titanium case and a circular screen on top. Leaked renders claim the upcoming smartwatch will have three buttons on the right side.

Another report claims that the Galaxy Watch Ultra features the Exynos W1000 processor with a penta-core CPU and 3nm fabrication. It could feature a 32GB of storage, a peak screen brightness of 3,000 nits, and Sapphire Crystal screen protection. The device is likely to run on Wear OS 5-based One UI 6.0 Watch software. It could also feature Galaxy AI for personalised health tips and workout training.

Samsung’s Galaxy Watch series has a huge role in popularising WearOS-powered smartwatches. The Galaxy Watch usually consists of two models, but it looks like this year, Samsung is working on an ‘Ultra’ variant, completely different from the circle-shaped smartwatches we all know and love.

According to a recently leaked render by SmartPrix, in collaboration with the known tipster OnLeaks, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra will have a squarish outer frame around a circular display. While the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra does not look as squarish as the Apple Watch Ultra, it does make it stand out from other products available in the market.

However, the display might be the same size as the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, measuring approximately 1.5 inches in diameter. The renders also suggest that the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra will have an additional third button, which might offer additional functionality, similar to how the Action Button does on the Apple Watch Ultra.

The report also suggests that the Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra will have more integrated watch bands with two button-like elements at the top and bottom, which could be used to attach and detach bands similar to the Apple Watch Ultra and the Pixel Watch.

Some other rumours suggest that the Galaxy Watch 7 series will be powered by a new chipset, charge faster and may bring blood sugar-monitoring functionality. Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Watch 7 series alongside two new foldables at the Galaxy Unpacked event, which is rumoured to take place in Paris on July 10.

More specifications of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra appear to have leaked in screenshots of the Samsung website. The images reveal information about the smartwatch’s size, colorways, brightness, and battery capacity. Plus, the pictures indicate ways the Ultra will differ from the Watch7.

Samsung unveiled its first foray into the smart ring category with the Galaxy Ring earlier today and since we’re attending MWC, we got to see the health tracker in person. It comes in three official colors – Ceramic Black, Platinum Silver, and Gold.

The ring features an interesting design choice – it’s concave so the sides taper into the middle, kind of like a miniature car rim. It’s also really shiny regardless of which color you pick up, and seems like it will attract plenty of smudges. All of the demo units were placed behind glass but Samsung representatives assured us it’s extremely light and easy to wear 24/7.

Galaxy Ring will be offered in US ring sizes 5 – 13 with the exact size specified on the inside of the ring. One key aspect is that the bigger-sized rings will offer slightly larger batteries but there are no specifics from Samsung at the moment.

Samsung did not reveal the specific sensors inside the Galaxy Ring but we did get info that it will offer extensive sleep tracking with heart rate, breathing rate, night movement, and the ability to detect early signs of sleep apnea. You’ll need a compatible Galaxy smartphone and the Samsung Health app to see your data since the Galaxy Ring does not have any screens or buttons.

Samsung is also advertising the Galaxy Ring as the ideal companion for the Galaxy Watch series. The two can combine health and activity tracking data for more accurate results and the ring has obvious benefits as a much sleeker sleep tracker compared to wearing a smartwatch.

Like the newer Galaxy Watches, Galaxy Ring calculates your Vitality score based on a combination of daily activity, sleep, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability. Users can also set specific well-being goals and receive feedback on their progress via Booster Cards which will be available in the Galaxy Health app.

There are plenty of unknowns with the Galaxy Ring. How much will it cost? When will it bring support for non-Samsung smartphones and will it support iOS devices eventually? And perhaps the more pressing matter – when will it go on open sale? Samsung said it will provide more details on the Galaxy Ring later this year so we’ll have to wait patiently until then.

Samsung is preparing to reshuffle its smartwatch lineup for 2024 with the release of the Galaxy Watch 7 series. Not counting the recent Fan Edition variant, the upgraded 2024 lineup should consist of a standard Galaxy Watch 7 and a brand-new Galaxy Watch Ultra. Color options and US prices for these two wearables have supposedly just leaked.

According to new information (via 91mobiles), the standard Galaxy Watch 7 — which should follow the design of the Galaxy Watch 6 — will be available in three color options: Marble Gray, Cream White, and Forest Green.

Meanwhile, the report mentions only one color option for the Galaxy Watch Ultra: Titanium Gray. However, early renders indicate that at least the silicon wrist strap could be available in different color options.

As for the body, the Ultra variant is rumored to boast a Grade 4 titanium chassis, which means “Titanium Gray” is more than just a color name. It could be a label that tells customers more about the smartwatch’s build and Samsung’s material choices.

Update: A Galaxy Watch Ultra in silver with an orange button also emerged online (via Ice Universe and NotebookCheck).

Rumors also say that the Galaxy Watch Ultra might feature a Sapphire Crystal display protection and an IP68 dust and water resistance rating, but that’s nothing new compared to previous Galaxy Watch models.

Galaxy Watch 7 and Ultra prices
This new report claims to reveal US prices for the 40mm Galaxy Watch 7 and the 47mm Galaxy Watch Ultra. The standard Watch 7 should be available in two sizes, however, rumors say that the Galaxy Watch Ultra may only exist in a 47mm configuration.

As far as US prices go, the report claims that the 40mm Galaxy Watch 7 will cost between $299 and $310. For reference, the 40mm Galaxy Watch 6 was released for $299.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra will be another matter, as according to this rumor, Samsung will price it between $699 and $710. If true, this would make it the most expensive Galaxy Watch ever produced, overtaking the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro’s launch price.

The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, which technically is Samsung’s first smartwatch wrapped in a titanium coating, was released in 2022 for $449 (Wi-Fi) – $499 (LTE).

For customers on a tighter budget, Samsung’s entry-level model this year is the Galaxy Watch FE, which the company unveiled ahead of the upcoming Unpacked event. This makes it a 2024 release but not exactly a part of the Watch 7 series. The Fan Edition smartwatch will be released in the USA next week for $199. The other two high-end series-7 watches should be announced at Unpacked in July.

The Galaxy Watch7 series is about to debut alongside the Galaxy foldables at the annual Unpacked event in July but rumors surrounding the watches this year are somewhat scarce. That’s why we are surprised to see a new addition to the Galaxy Watch family this year – the Watch7 Ultra.

A set of high-quality renders shows Samsung’s new Watch7 Ultra from all sides, revealing some potential features. The device adopts a mixture of square-ish and circular design, meaning the body has a square shape with oval edges while the display and the rotating bezel remain circular.

Additionally, the renders show a third, round button flanked by the usual power and back buttons. We still don’t know what the new button’s function is, though.

The images also reveal a larger speaker grille, new sensor alignment on the back and more seamless integration of the watch band with the watch body.

The display’s size remains unchanged, however, and it adopts the same 1.5-inch diagonal as the current Watch6 Classic and fits in the same 47mm standard as well.

Earlier reports point at upgraded SoC, longer battery life and blood sugar monitoring, but we are unsure whether these changes will apply to all Watch7 devices or we’ve been hearing rumors about the Ultra variant all along. Either way, it seems Samsung is gearing up to challenge Apple’s Watch Ultra 2 and we can’t wait to see what the fuss is all about.
